Born in 1929, Ange Hilstron attended Kingsley School, Surrey; Wimbledon College of Art; Massey University, New Zealand; and University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Upon immigrating to New Zealand in 1960, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree at age fifty-seven, majoring in cognitive aesthetic perception and life span human development. Ange has exhibited her work in New Zealand and in England, and she has paintings and fabric work in private collections throughout the world. She writes extensively, but this is her first book to be offered for publication. Describing herself as an artist, potter, garden designer, educator, author, interior decorator, explorer, traveler, mystic, mother, and grandmother, she lives on her own in a two-hundred-year-old converted farmhouse in Dorset, England.
